One morning, as a small child, playing barefoot and feral on the wild green lawn, I stepped upon a bee. I cried. Loudly. My parents gave me a bribe--my own book. Grocery-store Golden Book, but that didn't matter, there was wonder on its pages and I looked at the pictures and eventually learned to read the words. And there it began. My fascination with stories.
My poems, "Ursine Conversation" and "My Android Bob," were nominated for a 2008 Rhysling Award.
